About the Role
We’re looking for a Reel Editor who understands internet culture, platform trends, and what keeps audiences hooked in the first three seconds. You’ll create fast-paced, engaging short-form videos for Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn, and beyond. This role is more than just editing, it’s about understanding algorithms, storytelling, pacing, and turning ideas into content people want to share.
What You’ll Do (aka Your Superpowers)
- Edit short-form vertical videos optimized for Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and similar platforms.
- Craft strong hooks and high-retention storytelling structures.
- Sync edits to trending audio, music beats, and voiceovers.
- Add captions, overlays, transitions, and branded on-screen elements.
- Repurpose long-form content into engaging short clips.
- Track social media trends, viral formats, and platform updates.
- Handle high-volume content creation with quick turnaround times.
- Collaborate with content, design, and social teams on campaign execution.
- Continuously test and experiment with new editing styles and formats.

What You Bring to the Table

Skills That’ll Make You Shine
- 1–3 years of experience in short-form video editing for social media.
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro or CapCut.
- Basic After Effects knowledge for text animations is a plus.
- Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts trends.
- Excellent pacing, timing, and storytelling instincts for vertical content.
- Ability to manage multiple reels with fast delivery timelines.
- Understanding of social analytics and audience retention is a bonus.
- A creative mindset with strong awareness of internet culture.
