Videographer
We are looking for an organized and creative videographer to work with our creative team to plan, film, and edit video content according to client briefs. The videographer’s responsibilities include ensuring that the necessary filming equipment is available for use, directing other camera operators on set, and editing film footage.
To be successful as a videographer you must be able to understand client briefs and work creatively to produce the desired product. A good videographer should stay up to date with industry trends and tools that will make projects more marketable.
Responsibilities

- Hustling to get work done
- Conceptualising, planning social media content with internal teams
- Planning shoots in detail for clients
- Shooting for internal clients
- Undertaking minor editing of film footages in the case of smaller productions
- Working with internal teams for the final output
- Understanding client briefs, offering creative feedback and providing an estimated filming budget
- Discussing ideas with the Creative team prior to filming
- Coordinating and assisting external teams if required.
- Providing creative direction when inserting captions, graphics, special effects and video texts especially for advertising products
- Contacting and negotiating with suppliers for equipment, products and services
- Troubleshooting equipment
- Ensuring consistency in filming from start to finish
- Cleaning and disassembling hardware such as tripod, lighting and gimbal
- Maintaining and updating equipment inventory
- Compiling training videos that juniors could refer
- Working with a Creative Director or collaborative team to create the film or video product
- Figuring out what type of equipment to use
- Cleaning and disassembling hardware
- Setting up and tearing down cameras, audio recorders, lighting, microphones, and props
- Calibrating and maintaining equipment
- Doing small repairs on broken equipment
- Preparing background film or “B” rolls as well as live feed
- Troubleshoots problems with the equipment
- Interviewing people and creating a film clip via editing raw footage
- Working in the studio as part of a production team to edit film
- Inserting closed captioning, graphics, or other on-screen text into a video
- Adding computer graphics and special effects to a video
Requirements
- Degree or diploma in any subject
- 2/3 years experience
- A certificate course in Videography or Cinematography is preferred
- Proficiency in video editing softwares like AI and PR
- Familiarity with different cameras like digital cameras, professional-grade cameras and digital camcorders
- Excellent computer skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of different motion picture techniques
- Physically fit and having an eye for detail
- Basic knowledge of production modes like doing a single camera setup and adjusting camera’s white balance
- Ability to work in a team and in extreme weather conditions
- Excellent analytical skills
